WIPO : On November 2021, the Government of Timor-Leste and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) signed a MoU that lay the foundation upon which future cooperation can be based. This includes assisting Timor-Leste in short and long-run to assist in the establishment and operationalization of the Intellectual Property Office; Provision of skills and capacity building assistance for the benefit of government officials and other stakeholders, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs); Explore possible cooperation in the area of the use of geographical indications for the protection and promotion of key agriculture products, in particular coffee.
